As Executive Headteacher of Medina College, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our website.
Medina College is a thriving, caring and forward-thinking school – our motto Aspire and Achieve encapsulates our aim of providing the highest quality education for all, where every child is encouraged to aim high and achieve their personal best. Set in beautiful and spacious grounds, Medina provides a wealth of opportunities for our students, with a broad and balanced curriculum, a wide range of extra-curricular activities and trips and visits at home and abroad. Every child is unique, and we aim to nurture their talents, enable each child to feel success and grow into confident and resilient young people, prepared and looking forward to the next chapter beyond Medina.
I feel privileged to be leading this wonderful community of students and dedicated team of staff into its next exciting phase of development as part of the HISP Multi Academy Trust. Working as part of this successful family of schools will serve to further enhance the educational opportunities for our students and provide a wealth of professional development opportunities for staff.

- Here is some follow up information regarding flu vaccinations from the school aged immunisation service.17 Oct
- Girls U15 Football At the start of the month, we travelled to Cowes Enterprise College to play our first league game of this season. Unfortunately for us, the full size game turned into an 8-a-side due to a double booking on the pitch. They girls battled hard but we never really found our flow in the 8-a-side formation. We did score first, and worked hard to maintain that lead, but a moment of forgetting we were not playing offside allowed the Cowes players to sneak through and score. The final score was 1-1 and we got some points on the board. Our second game was against a physical and determined Ryde Academy team on our home (slightly soggy) soil. We started strongly and were a couple of goals up within a few minutes. Ryde fought hard but the boundless energy of the Medina team could not be matched. Our girls put in a well disciplined and focussed performance. It was fantastic to watch. Final score 8-2. We are now looking forward to two home games after half term against Christ the King College and Carisbrooke College.17 Oct
- Recent football fixtures! Year 9 Boys v CTK The Year 9 boys played their second game of the season v CTK. On a wet and muddy pitch, the Medina boys played some great football and scored some lovely goals in their win against CTK. Next week they play at home again against the Bay, which is always a good game. Year 7 Boys v CTK The Year 7 boys won their first game of the season. In tricky conditions Medina passed the ball well and scored some very well-worked goals, eventually winning 5-1. George made some great saves in the second half to stop CTK from scoring. Goalscorers: Max x1 Freddie x2 Sean x2 Year 8 Boys v Ryde School The Year 8 boys had a really hard fought victory against Ryde School. In a very even game with some quick attacking players and some big tackles, the game was very competitive but played in good spirit. Medina 3 - Ryde School 2 Goalscorers: Dylan x1 Lucas x1 Sam x1 U15 Girls v Ryde Academy The team were a real pleasure to watch play with a final winning score line of 8-2 to Medina.17 Oct

- Attendance to school and lessons is vital in receiving good grades. Thank you to all of those families of the 389 students who currently have excellent attendance. If you need support with the attendance of your child to education, please get in touch with the year team or attendance officer.
