We are now about to enter the final week of the term. I am sure you are all looking forward to a two week break and a time to celebrate.

This week has had a really strong focus on celebration with each year group having their end of year celebration assembly. It has been lovely to see lots of certificates and rewards being handed out.

On Wednesday, it was great to see so many parents attend our Year 8 Parents' Evening and I know that staff found this a really valuable evening. On Thursday, we had Year 11 receiving their trial exam results. I was in the theatre when Mr Wiseman talked them through the process and the excitement and anticipation in the theatre was really evident as they went up to collect their results. I very much hope students gained the grades they were hoping for but, if they didn't, there is still time to put this right.

Last night I was blown away by the school production of High School Musical. Thank you to Mr Winsor, Mrs Tennant, Mrs Brear, Mr Wiseman, Mrs Pitman and Miss Iverson for supporting the students. The students' sheer professionalism, teamwork and hard work they had put in was stunning. So, well done to all of those who were involved.

We have also had sporting success this week. Well done to the Year 8 boys football team for their excellent win in the championship. They were unbeaten in every game and played a fantastic game in the final this week against Ryde School. A full match report can be found on our website here.

Congratulations to our Hot Chocolate Friday winners who gained their place either for 100% attendance in the last week or were top achievement point winners. Well done to: Jared, Jack, Amelie, Bethany, Holly, Milia, Iona, Sophie, Harrison and Aiden. Have a lovely weekend and a final week of term.

Finally, a reminder that we finish the Autumn term on Friday 20 December at 3.15 pm and return on Monday 6 January at 8.45 am.
