Goodwood Festival of Speed
43 students across Year 8 and 9 were fortunate enough to visit Goodwood Festival of Speed on Thursday 11 July.
Students were given the freedom to explore the wide range of motoring activities on offer, including sitting in a variety of fast, very expensive cars. The STEM centre provided students the opportunity to engage with robot pets, programming drones, interacting with an AI goblin and exploring the impact of rubber tyres on emissions. Students were then treated to a dazzling display from the Red Arrows at lunchtime, filling the sky with tremendous noise and color.
Throughout the day, cars raced around the Goodwood circuit, providing the opportunity to see an array of spectacular vehicles of all shapes and sizes in motion. Mr Murdoch, Mrs Mills, Miss Johnson and Mr Logan all commented on the exceptional behaviour presented by the students, demonstrating high levels of maturity to explore the popular festival independently and were an absolute delight. The students’ impeccable manners were also commented on by our coach driver, Nigel.
Well done and thank you, all, for a wonderful day!
