Head of School's Blog - 20 September 2024

As we come to the end of another week, I would just like to thank you again for all the support you have given to ensure that students are turned out in the highest standard of uniform. Can I take this opportunity to remind you that by Monday 30 September, all uniform issues should have been corrected. The one area that some students are not getting this correct with is pleated skirts. If a child chooses to wear a skirt, it must be pleated as per our school uniform policy. In terms of piercings, nose piercings are not allowed and only one piercing is allowed in each ear.

There has been some fabulous learning taking place this week and when I was speaking to our Hot Chocolate Friday winners today, they talked passionately about their learning. Some of their highlights were Geography, Health and Social Care, Art and PE.

For new parents, Hot Chocolate Friday rewards students who either have a 100% attendance in the last week or are top achievement point winners for their year group in the previous week. This week, congratulations go to: Sapphire, Georgia, Demi, Charlie, Alfie, Ralph, Malachi, Joseph, Jasmine and Lou.

Lastly, I know I have mentioned this before, but can I kindly ask at the beginning and end of the day that you do not park in the bus loop or staff car park as it creates huge safety issues as students try to get to your cars.

Have a lovely weekend and please remember that Tuesday 24 September is a Staff Development Day so students will not be in school. Also, Thursday 26 September is our Open Evening for Year 6. This will be between 5.00 - 8.00 pm.
